       “The Pursuit of Happiness”, released in 2006, starring Will Smith and Jaden Smith is an emotionally charged and inspirational film that narrates the story of a father and son duo who struggle to survive and later explore the all-American dream.

The Pursuit Of Happyness is based on a true story, set in 1981 San Francisco. It shares the story of a single father, Chris Gardner, who went from being homeless to a successful businessman.

       Story begins with Chris Gardner (Will Smith) and his wife, Linda (Thandiwe Newtown) facing their life’s problems. She does hotel laundry in both the shifts while Chris tries to sell bone density scanners. 

       Linda abandons her family. However, Chris stays with his son as they both struggle to make their lives better. After the two get evicted from their apartment, they endure the hardships while staying in shelters.
