Dream big like Turbo

Turbo (voiced by Ryan Reynolds) is an animation movie about a speed-obsessed snail with an unusual dream: to become the world’s greatest racer. Despite being a slow-moving snail, he wants to become the world’s greatest racer. Though he is tiny, no dream is too big for him. Turbo desired for speed. Being a snail in human dominated racing world he was ridiculed and discouraged by everyone around him. However, Turbo never gave up on his ambition. With the help of his loyal human friend, Sammy, Turbo embarks on a journey to make his dream a reality, defying all odds and proving that anything is possible if you believe in yourself.

Humans are different from other animals because they can smile, think, and dream. Different people have different dreams. Small dreams. Having small dreams can be a problem because it can limit your thoughts and prevent you from reaching your full potential. When you have small dreams, you are more likely to settle for mediocrity and never truly achieve desired results. Additionally, small dreams can often lead to complacency and lack of motivation.

Dream big. The power of dreaming big is unparalleled. Dreaming big opens up the possibilities that you thought never existed. It can serve as a driving force that propels you beyond the realms of ordinary achievement. You start to believe in yourself and your ability to achieve anything you set your mind to.

Dreaming big can boost your confidence which makes you believe that you can achieve things. The magnitude of your dream should scare you and excite you at the same time. Dream something big, so big that when you spell out your dream to someone out there, they start to laugh. James Cameron, the director of blockbusters like Titanic, Avatar etc, said, “If you set your goals ridiculously high and it’s a failure, you will fail above everyone else’s success.”

“To Infinity and Beyond!” is the famous catchphrase of Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story film series. Infinity has no limits, and hence cannot be reached. Thus, the expression “To infinity and beyond!” means to go beyond the limitless possibilities. Trust yourself and believe that your big dream can be achieved. Remember, the size of the dream determines the magnitude of your achievements.

It is also important to break down those big dreams into smaller, more manageable goals. This helps you to make your dream more achievable. It also helps you to stay focused and motivated. You will able to celebrate success on reaching smaller milestones which can motivate you further.

Here are some key takeaways from Turbo’s inspiring story.

“I have a Dream” speech made by Dr. Martin Luther King. Jr on August 28, 1963, in front of 250, 000 civil supporters was the turning point in the Civil Right Movement in the United States. He said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” He made Americans dream together with him, for a better America and years later his dreams became reality.

Write down your dreams. Ask yourself why this dream is important to you. Here are some questions to help you dream big:
